Hi Anthony Moore,

Great post! There is quite a bit I could add to this discussion… In fact, for many years I followed the crowd, I thought like the crowd. Like everyone else, I would be mad at the 1%, and blame my circumstance or situation on them, when I should have been blaming myself.

I’m not sure exactly what has happened since then when it comes to the change in my thinking. But what I do know is, I refuse to fall into some static, or demographic, or category. I’m in control of my life, not those around me, or the situation I’m in.

So many people that make up the 99% seem to miss the point. They would rather stay in the boat with everyone else, and play it safe. But what is the fun in that? What kind of life is that? I would much rather be a part of the 1% and be able to say, “I chose to step outside of the boat, and guess what… I discovered something, I experienced something, that no one else as.”

In closing, I also like how you talked about not sharing your BIG dreams with small minded people. And being selective when it comes to who your pick to be your mentor. I can’t agree with you more on that. But I will say this: It is getting harder and harder to be able to pinpoint those select few that you can tell your BIG dreams and aspirations to.

And, I guess, in some cases, it’s also a catch-22 (even though I don’t necessary agree with that concept. Catch-22 is really nothing but an excuse to me) because how do you know if you have found someone you can share your BIG ideas with if you don’t open up to them and give them a chance?

Believe me, I’ve tried to give so many people chances, hoping that there was something there that would allow us to grow and achieve great things only to find that their small mindedness runs deeper than what I’m able to dig.
